As an affiliate marketer, a business owner or simply a blogger. What do you need to expand your business? What is the most important thing to grow your website and maximize your revenue? Yes, That’s right. Traffic.
Traffic means more exposure, more shares, more interactions, better engagement on your pages, more customers and bigger profits.
A site without visitors is like a deserted island, even if you spend hours, days or months perfecting your writing and offering high-quality and helpful content, if there is no traffic to see your work and benefit from it, your business is destined to sink into the deep ocean of digital waste.
There are so many ways to increase traffic to your pages, blog posts and generate more clicks for your affiliate links. Today I’m going to share with you 5 of them. Methods that I’m using every day to reach more viewers and have more readers coming to my site. Of course, there are more techniques to implement, but this short list is the best and easiest way to get you moving in the right direction.
Let’s get started.
Use Social Media
Creating great content and hoping that people will find it is not enough. You have to be proactive and share every piece of information right after you hit “publish”. Use social media to your advantage and promote your latest blog posts and pages.
Start by incorporating Google+ in your first shares because it will help your site show up in the search results. Twitter’s short and snappy tweets can also give you more followers and add more readers to increase your traffic. And lastly, don’t neglect image and visual social sites like Pinterest or Instagram, as they will play a big role in promoting your business.
Lately, I noticed that a big portion of my traffic comes from Pinterest, so take that into consideration.
Write Powerful Headlines
Headlines are the door to your valuable content and the most important part of every blog post you write. Without a compelling headline, most of the information you spend hours perfecting will go unread. Headlines are a powerful magnet for traffic. Spend some time writing as many as possible and then pick the right one for your blog post.
Your headline is the first impression that you will make on your reader and potential customer. Grab your visitors attention and keep them interested enough to read the whole article. One complementing aspect of the headline are the subheads. They keep people hooked and make them want to read more of your work.
Implement Some SEO Techniques
Your primary focus is to entertain your readers and give them something of value that will keep them coming for more, but the thing is that to reach them in the first place, you must implement some SEO techniques to boost your pages and make them easily accessible for people. So optimizing your site for search engines is still an important aspect of building your website’s authority.
Techniques like image alt text, internal linking to your new content and external linking to other trusted sources, using meta descriptions and a lot more will only make your site more popular and easy to find for those who have the same interest as you.
Use Internal Linking
As I mentioned above, internal linking is an important strategy to keep your readers on your site and make them read more of your content and click on your affiliate links. Always link to something that is related to what you’ve just added on your site. This is what will provide the user with the best experience possible because sometimes people don’t know what they are looking for, and it’s your job to show them more of what they might need.
This also helps with the SEO and reinforces the structure of your site, making it an endless library of information and a useful source to come back to more often. Relevant content is also a quality content.
Use the Comment Section Wisely
If you’ve been reading blog posts related to your niche, I am sure that you’ve seen people interacting in the comment section, offering help and exchanging ideas. So, why don’t you join them and put a piece of your experience and knowledge to good use?
This won’t boost your traffic right from day one, but interacting with people, creating thought-provoking discussions, commenting and providing insightful help to get your name out there is a sure way to get noticed and have more visits to your site.
Driving traffic to your site should always be your top priority. Period.
It doesn’t matter what techniques you’re implementing first. Start with the easiest one for you and then move to the next one. The secret to seeing promising results is to be consistent. It’s not a one day/week/month job, it’s a continued process, and you should keep applying every method at your disposal until reaching the number you have in mind, and then do some more.
I’ll be sharing more in-depth methods with you once I get more acquainted and more experienced with each one. Till then, work hard, share more of your work and help as many people as you can.
To your success
