Learning how to use social media platform and taking advantage of their power to promote your business and reach bigger audiences on the market is a valuable skill to master.
Finding the best method and having the right attitude to approach this part of the web is what will make all the difference in your actual and future endeavors.
I thought that it would be a great idea to start off with Twitter and what it can offer you and how it will help you gain more exposure and have more followers in your niche.
Don’t underestimate the magnitude of hashtags and the usefulness of its 140 characters tweets, because if they are managed correctly, you’ll be experiencing a flow of traffic and a spike in your sales.
So, today, I prepared a list of 5 tips that should help you understand how to use Twitter marketing to your advantage and show you why it’s a tool that you should consider to grow your business.
Let’s get started.
1. Grow a Targeted List of Followers
One of the first things that you should be thinking about is building a big but “Targeted” list of followers on Twitter. Followers are like traffic to your website, and they will be the traffic that will visit your pages and see the work you spend hours perfecting. A good tweet will send a good amount of readers to your latest post, and once there, they may take action and follow your recommendations.
The most important thing to watch out for here is to get interested people to follow you. People that share the same passions as you, want to learn from you and have business ideas to discuss with you.
Don’t fall prey to those shiny headlines “Get 10.000 Twitter Followers in 1 Day”. That’s complete BS, and you don’t want that kind of followers to grow your business. 3 to 5 followers a day that are interested in what you have to say is far better than some shortcut method that will just clutter your home page.
2. Keep Your Content Relevant
Relevancy is key when you’re promoting something to your readers. If the link of the product has nothing to do with what you wrote in the post, it will annoy people and make them ignore your future tweets or even unfollow you. You can diversify what you write about, but you should always keep as simple and relevant as possible to the product you have in mind
Relevant content is useful content, and the message you put on your tweets should also grab your followers attention and make them click to read what’s behind that great headline you came up with.
Shine a light on their needs, help them overcome their fears and resolve their problems.

I talked about this a million times before, and I’ll say it again. Only recommend things that you are comfortable using and can see yourself buying and applying to your business before sharing it with others. If it’s something that makes sense to you and that has a lot of value to offer, then by all means, go ahead, write a review and make people aware of it.
This will increase your conversions and help you build trust and authority, both inside and outside Twitter. People will be more inclined to read your tweets and click on the shortened links you include in each one.
Recommending a genuine service will grow your list of followers, your traffic and also your sales number.
4. Be Engaging and Connect With Your Audience
Twitter is not a chat platform, but you can still engage with people, communicate your ideas and send them private messages when you need to. It can be an interaction and business relationship starter. People will have a first look at your headlines, have access to your websites, read your articles and learn more about your daily thoughts and past experiences.
So when they reach out to you, be there for them. Reply to their comments, help them and use that opportunity to learn more about your audience to know what you can be promoting and offering them next. This will give your more ideas for your business and show you what you need to do keep it up and running.
5. Link Indirectly to Affiliate Products
Linking directly by using an affiliate link in one of your tweets will come off as intrusive and somewhat spammy, and Twitter does not like this strategy. So, keep in mind that the best way to promote something is to write an article on your blog, tell your readers everything they need to know about it, include some affiliate links in there and then, tweet it.
By using this method, you will increase the traffic to your site, have more exposure for your brand and give more information to your followers. Indirect linking is better because it forces you to make more efforts by writing quality reviews and keeps you out of the salesy scammers zone.
Twitter is a unique social network, and it’s an excellent opportunity to have more visits to your website, more clicks on your affiliate links (using indirect linking of course), and it’s also a useful tool to master the power of social media and in my opinion, it’s the easiest one to start off with.
